Mattresses are awkward, not heavy. The crew carries yours out from the bedroom, box spring and frame included, so you never have to wrestle it down the stairs or leave it by the curb.

How mattress removal is priced
A mattress and box spring together are usually one single-item price. Add a frame and headboard and it is about an eighth of a truck. Some Texas landfills and transfer stations charge a per-piece fee for mattresses; where they do, it is already inside your price.

Before we arrive
- Strip the sheets and mattress protector.
- If you have a mattress bag, use it, especially for a long carry through the house.
- Tell us if the bed is on an upper floor or in a room with a tight turn.
Where it goes
Texas has no statewide mattress recycling program, so most mattresses go to the landfill or transfer station. Where a mattress recycler operates near your city, your local crew uses it and can tell you.

Buying a new mattress? Most Texas retailers charge for haul-away or only take the old one at delivery. A GoneDay pickup lets you pick the time and clear the frame and anything else in the room on the same visit.

How much does mattress removal cost?
A mattress and box spring are priced as a single item in most GoneDay locations. Enter your ZIP code online to get the price for your area. The crew confirms it before taking anything.
Do you take box springs and frames too?
Yes. Mattress, box spring, frame and headboard can all go in the same pickup.
What happens to my old mattress?
Where a mattress recycler is within reach of your local crew, it goes there. Otherwise it goes to the transfer station or landfill. Texas does not have a statewide mattress recycling law, unlike California or Connecticut.
Can I just put my mattress on the curb?
Many Texas cities fine residents for mattresses left out before the bulk pickup date, and some do not collect them at all. A booked pickup avoids both.
Do you take mattresses with bed bugs?
Yes, if the mattress is sealed in a plastic mattress bag before the crew arrives and you tell us when booking, so the crew can protect the truck and the next customer.
