Garage cleanout

A garage you cannot park in, an attic nobody has climbed into for years, a storage unit that costs more each month than what is in it. The crew sorts, carries and loads; you stand there and point.

How garage cleanout is priced

Cleanouts are priced by how full the truck is at the end. A one-car garage is often a half truck; a packed two-car garage can be a full truck. Our half-truck and full-truck prices are flat, so a crowded garage does not surprise you with hourly billing.

Before we arrive

  • Pull out the things you are keeping first, or mark them with tape. Everything else is fair game.
  • Set aside paint, chemicals and fuel for your city's household hazardous waste drop-off.
  • Open the garage door and move cars out for the arrival window.

Where it goes

Usable tools, bikes and furniture are offered to local charities and resale stores where one accepts them. Metal goes to scrap recycling. The rest goes to the transfer station.

Good to know in Texas

Attics in Texas can reach 140 degrees by noon in summer. Book a morning window for an attic cleanout; the crew starts early and brings the lights.

Garage cleanout questions

How long does a garage cleanout take?

Most one- and two-car garages are done in one to two hours with a two-person crew.

Do I have to sort anything first?

No. Set aside what you are keeping and anything hazardous. The crew sorts the rest as they load.

Can you clean out a storage unit?

Yes. Book it for a time the facility gate is open and tell us the unit size. Most 10 by 10 units are a half to full truck.

What about paint cans and chemicals?

The crew cannot take them. Most Texas cities and counties run a household hazardous waste drop-off; your crew can tell you the nearest one.

Can you take an attic full of insulation?

Loose insulation is messy and is quoted separately. Boxes and furniture in the attic are a normal cleanout.
